Hotel Santa Fe Annex - Santa Fe NM

VHGA worked with architect/owner Richard Yates, AIA, to accomplish the hotel expansion as envisioned by Mr. Yates. The hotel is owned by a partnership which includes the Picuris Pueblo and so it was imperative that the Annex provide an authentic representation of the Pueblo experience.

The Annex is comprised of 36 luxury rooms and suites, a lounge, meeting rooms, and administrative offices. The addition was designed to seamlessly meld with the existing building. The strong ‘Pueblo’ design style of the original hotel is mirrored in the Annex. The use of battered walls, solid wall massing, and punched windows all contribute to the aesthetic resemblance to the Pueblos in New Mexico.
